Chypraze Farm Booking Terms and Conditions
The adventure starts the moment you get into your car and start your break. We will prepare your accommodation and give you directions showing you how to get there; the rest is up to you!! Freedom is an essential part of a Cornish holiday experience, whether you like to explore rock pools, swim, walk or just relax. This is our fourth year of sharing the unique location of Chypraze as a holiday destination and we hope you will want to return. When you reach the farm you'll find a guide to events and places of interest, and our care-taker will be close at hand if you need any help or advice. Farmhouse with Character: When choosing to holiday in an older farmhouse, you'll find that much of it's character and charm is due to it's age. Our granite farmhouse is fully heated, but built before the days of cavity insulation however, we now boast a new revolutionary Ground Source Central Heating System. This being the beginning of our plan to make the farm totally environmentally friendly, but without changing its character. Your booking: To book our farmhouse the party leader must be 18 years of age at the time of booking. Your booking is made as a consumer and you agree that we can accept no liability for any expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums of any description which relate to any business, howsoever suffered or incurred by you. When we issue a written confirmation to you, this signifies that we have entered into a contract with you, which is subject to these Conditions. We have the right to refuse any booking prior to the issue of our written confirmation, and if we do this, we will tell you in writing and promptly refund any money you have paid us. When you receive your confirmation, the details must be checked carefully. If anything is not correct, you should tell us immediately. Our weekly bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. Paying for your accommodation: When you book you should pay the amount then due by sending a cheque together with a completed booking form to us. Providing the booking can be confirmed, we will then send written confirmation to you as soon as reasonably possible showing your booking details and the balance of your total holiday cost which must be received by us no later than 8 weeks before your arrival date. However, if you book less than 8 weeks before the arrival date, payment of your total holiday cost is due immediately. For bookings less than 2 weeks before your arrival date your booking must be paid for in full at the time of booking. All prices quoted include all booking fees and charges. If any payment you make is not honoured for any reason whatsoever, we are entitled to make an administration charge of £25. Cancellations or changes to your booking by Us the Owner: We do not expect to have to make any changes to your booking, but occasionally problems occur and bookings have to be changed or cancelled. If this does happen, we will contact the party leader (by telephone where reasonably possible) as soon as is reasonably practical, explain what has happened and inform you of the cancellation or change. If a significant change has to be made (and the change is not acceptable to you) or your booking has to be cancelled, we will refund in full all monies paid us. Circumstances beyond the control of the us the Owner: We shall not be liable, for any changes, cancellations, effect on your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you which occur as a ‘force of nature’ which include fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction or damage of the property. In appropriate cases (for example where your booking has to be cancelled before departure) we will, however, refund to you all monies paid to us. No compensation, expenses, costs or other sums of any description will be payable by us to you. Liability: We shall have no liability for any death or personal injury. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. We in respect of damage to, or loss of, such personal property accept no liability. Caring for your safety: We take all reasonable and practical steps to ensure that the property is well maintained for your comfort and safety. Please remember when you are in these unfamiliar surroundings, to take special care of yourself and your family and read the safety sections in the information pack on arrival. In particular: - Check the layout and property so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily. Check for the fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen, and read the instructions on their use. The farmhouse does have an open fire, please make sure that you use the fireguard and check that the fire is safely out before you go to bed. If you are unsure of how to use the any appliances please ask our caretaker. When going to the beach wear appropriate footwear for a rocky path and unprotected cliffs. Please regard the barn and out buildings as out of bounds to your family and friends for their safety. You must allow us, or any representative (including workmen) access to the property at any reasonable time during your occupation of the property. In cases of emergency or where a problem needs remedying quickly and you cannot be contacted in time we are entitled to enter the property at any time without giving you prior notice. If you change or cancel your booking: (i) Changes - If you want to change your booking once your confirmation has been issued, an administration fee of £25 will be payable to us once any change has been made. It is important to realise that a change of dates have to be treated as the cancellation of one booking and the making of another. (ii) Cancellations - If you have to, or wish to, cancel your booking, the party leader must telephone us on the number shown on your booking confirmation as soon as possible. A cancellation charge will be payable, based on the number of days before the arrival date at the property that we receive your notification of cancellation, as shown in the following table. This means that if you have paid the balance of your total holiday cost and then have to, or wish to, cancel, you may receive a refund of part of such cost. For the purpose of this table, cost means the total cost of the booking.
If any payment due in relation to your booking is not paid by the appropriate date, we are entitled to treat your booking as cancelled by you. Your accommodation: Please advise our caretaker, whose details are given in our final payment letter & again on our directions to the farm, of your estimated arrival time; preferably the day before. You may arrive at the farm after 15.00 hours on the start date of your holiday rental and ask you to leave by 10.00 hours on the last day. If your arrival will be delayed beyond 20.00 hours on the start date of your holiday rental, you must contact our caretaker so that alternative arrangements can be made. If you fail to do so, you may not be able to gain access to the property. If you fail to arrive by 12 noon on the day after the start date of your holiday rental and you do not advise our caretaker of your late arrival, your booking may be treated as having been cancelled by you. No refund of any monies paid by you will be made in this situation. Gardens & Parking Facilities: Our farmhouse is surrounded by open space, where you can enjoy peace and privacy. There is a walled paved area to the front of the property to take the sun and there is a walled garden with views to the cove. There is plenty of off-road parking. However you should be aware that the bridle path from the farm lane to the beach is a public right of way, a small field is made available nearby to accommodate vehicles of other visitors to the area and there is a small honesty box at the farm gate. Cleaning: Our farmhouse is cleaned between lets, so that all you need to do when you arrive is unpack, put the kettle on and explore. You and all members of your holiday rental party agree both to keep the property clean and tidy and to leave the property in a similar condition as you found it upon your arrival. You and all members of your holiday rental party further agree not to use the property for any commercial purpose, including without limitation assigning or subletting it or otherwise allowing anyone to occupy it who has not previously been accepted by us. You are responsible to us for the actual costs of any breakage or damage in or to the property - along with any additional costs that may result - which are caused by you and/or any members of your holiday rental party, and we may require payment from you to cover any such costs. No Smoking: Please note that smoking is not allowed anywhere inside our house. Pets are welcome too: We accept pets but please note this on our booking form. All that we ask is that you respect a few simple common sense rules: - Please keep your pets in the kitchen, family dinning room area only and off the furniture. Exercise your pets outside the garden area and pooper scoop where necessary. Chypraze land is part of a working farm and the fields are in use so dogs must be kept on a lead except when on the beach. Please do not leave your pets unattended in the farmhouse. There is an additional charge of £25 per week for pets. Customers with allergies should be aware that pets are acceptable therefore we cannot accept liability for any suffering which may occur as a result of such animals having been present. Complaints: Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If, however, you have any cause for complaint we are anxious that remedial action is taken as soon as possible. It is essential that you contact our caretaker or us immediately if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. It is often extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) to resolve difficulties properly unless we are promptly notified. Discussions, with us or our caretaker of any criticisms, whilst you are in residence will usually enable shortcomings to be rectified straightaway. In particular, complaints of a transient nature (for example, regarding preparation or heating of the property) cannot possibly be investigated unless registered whilst you are in residence. Communicating With You: In order to process your booking, we need to collect certain personal details from you. These details will include your name and address and, where applicable, the names and addresses of members of your holiday rental party, payment details and special requirements such as those relating to any disability or medical condition. We would like to store and use your personal details for future marketing purposes (for example, sending you details of promotions which may be of interest to you). All details you give at any time (including those relating to any disability or medical condition) will be kept, but only names and contact details will be used for marketing purposes. Your rights: Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained within these Conditions. We hope you will enjoy your holiday and look forward to reading your comments in our visitor’s book.
